Online Content and Marketing Coordinator

Southern Farm Network provides daily agribusiness news and information through its radio network and website, www.SFNToday.com. The online content and marketing coordinator will serve two key roles:

1) Primary: maintain and update content on www.SFNToday.com by working closely with trade associations/groups in the Carolinas, private/public organizations and other key stakeholders that can provide news releases, photographs and other digital information that would be of interest to Carolina agribusiness audiences, primarily row crop and livestock producers. This also includes working closely with the SFN news director to provide leads for stories and enhance feature stories and other key editorial packages that will posted on our site.

2) Secondary: support marketing and sales efforts of www.SFNToday.com. Marketing efforts include maintaining Twitter and Facebook accounts and participation in key events/shows. Support sales by identifying possible leads, providing basic ad design and managing sold campaigns.

Requirements: Comfortable working the phones to build relationships with the trade industry. Strong writing background required, and news editing/reporting experience are a plus. Web savvy and basic HTML coding and design necessary. Time management and multi-tasking skills a must. Agricultural background preferred.
This is a part-time position at 20 hours a week with a flexible schedule in which some work can be conducted from a home office. If selected, you’ll lead and develop a hard-working and dedicated staff of broadcast professionals who are as enthusiastic about serving their hometown community as they are about creating great local radio.
