I have a complaint or compliment about something I heard on the radio. What can I do?
You can call the General Manager of the particular station and discuss it with him. You will find his name and telephone number here. Or you can email us with your concern .
I am trying to find a book published by Curtis Media. Can you help me?
The company you are looking for is actually called Curtis Media Corporation based in Dallas Texas. We are Curtis Media Group, a group of radio stations based in North Carolina. Curtis Media Group is not, nor has it ever been, connected with Curtis Media Corporation. We understand that Henington Publishing Company purchased the assets of Curtis Media Corporation. They also have some books warehoused, but many are now out of print. For further information contact them here.
I have an old Durham Life Insurance policy. How do I get information on this?
Some of the radio stations currently owned by Curtis Media Group used to be owned by Durham Life Insurance Company; however, when CMG purchased the stations, the association with Durham Life ended. You may wish to contact the North Carolina Department of Insurance at 1-800-546-5664 and they may be able to answer your questions.
Why are you not streaming your stations audio on the internet?
A few CMG stations are now streaming (WPTF, Y102.9, and WSJS). However, internet streaming is still a rather new technology and a great number of legal issues have yet to be resolved in regards to copyright, ownership, and compensation for artists and actors. In some cases, we are prohibited from re-broadcasting a syndicated program from our website. We hope that a resolution will be forthcoming to clear up these foggy issues. Until such a time, CMG stations will not stream audio. In some cases, the rights holders are streaming from their own websites. Please contact the webmaster for details.
I want to buy commercials on your radio station...how much do they cost?
Each station sets rates determined by the coverage area of the station and it's ratings determined by the Arbitron. Please contact the station you are interested in and ask to speak to the Sales Manager. They can provide answers to any questions you may have on how the CMG group of stations can help your business grow.
